For common stacks (React, Node, Python, Shopify), we typically match and onboard an engineer within 5–7 business days. For niche specializations — obscure frameworks, rare language combos, or senior AI researchers — it can take up to three weeks.
Every engineer goes through our 8-point assessment before you ever meet them, so the shortlist you see is already filtered.
What does it actually cost?
Our staff augmentation rates run $20–$55 per hour depending on seniority and specialization. Project-based engagements are priced against a scoped brief — typically $15K–$250K+ depending on complexity.
We give you a transparent, fixed quote before work starts. No scope-creep invoices.
Who owns the code you write?
You do. Full IP transfer from day one, written into every contract. You get repo access, documentation, and clean handoff materials. Nothing is "licensed back" to you.
How are engineers vetted?
Every engineer passes: (1) a technical assessment in their primary stack, (2) a live coding session with one of our senior leads, (3) a system design discussion, (4) communication and culture-fit interviews in English, and (5) background and reference checks. Roughly 1 in 30 applicants make it through.
Do you work in our timezone?
Yes. Our engineers overlap with US, UK, EU, Middle East, APAC, and ANZ business hours. We match based on your team's working hours — most engagements have at least 4 hours of live overlap daily.
What if an engineer isn't the right fit?
You're never locked in. Billing is month-to-month with one week's notice to cancel, and any time within the first 90 days of an engagement we'll replace an engineer at no cost. After 90 days, it's a standard transition on your timeline.
Can you handle the whole project, not just engineers?
Absolutely. Our Custom Software service is end-to-end: discovery, design, architecture, build, QA, launch, and post-launch support. You get a product manager, tech lead, and pod of engineers — no coordination overhead on your side.
What about security and NDAs?
Standard practice. Every engineer signs an NDA before seeing any of your code or docs. We work with enterprise security requirements including SOC 2-aligned processes, SSO, VPN access, and background-checked personnel.
